Welcome to CueTask. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the CueTask mobile application ("the App"). Our core philosophy is simple: we respect your privacy and design our app to function locally on your device as much as possible.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
CueTask is designed primarily as an offline audio and productivity tool.
- No Personal Data: We do not require you to create an account, nor do we collect your name, email address, or contact information.
- No Audio Data: We do not collect, monitor, or upload the audio files you listen to, nor the tasks you create. All your audio playback and focus sessions are processed locally on your device.
2. Device Permissions and Local Processing
To function correctly as an offline audio player, the App interacts with your device in the following ways:
- Background Audio & Lock Screen: The App continues to play your selected audio even when your device is locked or the App is running in the background. It integrates with iOS system controls (Now Playing) to allow you to pause or play easily. We do not track your listening habits or monitor background activity.
- File Handling ("Open With"): You can open supported audio files directly into CueTask from other applications (via the iOS Share Sheet). When you use this feature, the App only reads the file locally on your device to play it. We absolutely do not upload, copy, or transmit your personal files or audio tracks to any external servers.
- Media Library: If you grant access to your local Media Library or Files, this access is strictly used to display and play your audio within the App locally.
3. Third-Party Services and Advertising
To keep the App free, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements.
- Google AdMob: This service may collect and use data, including your device's advertising ID (such as Apple's IDFA), IP address, and usage data, to provide personalized ads.
- You can opt-out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings (e.g., going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iOS device).

4. Children's Privacy
Our App does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 13. The App is a general audience utility. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data without your consent, please contact us at support@cuetask.com.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
